Hello planeteers!
I have some new pictures to share. Things are starting to really come together. I have many little details to finish. So the pic's are of Arwen's head from actually last week and the last is of where I'm at now. I started work on the base last night.
Thanks for looking, Gerald

Great job so far... May I ask what material you used for the long hair, it looks much better than if it was sculpted as a solid mass with the hair texture scribed into it. This will look much more convincing at the end of the day.

On pins and needles waiting for the completion of this project

It looks as though you have used string of some sort for the long locks of the hair and tissue for her long cloak. I think that this will be very convincing when painted, more realistic. What about the green for her sleeves, is that sculpted?
Looking great so far
Ben

The hair is unravelled crochet thread stiffened with fabric stiffener. The long part of the sleeves is cloth shaped, stiffened, and coated with liquid green stuff.

Hello planeteers! It has been a long time since I have posted progress on this project. Unfortunately other things have been eating up my hobby time. Anyways, here's where I'm at now. I still have detail work on the figures. I have a lot of groundwork to take care of on the base including building up the water more with splashes by the hooves.
Asfaloth looks pretty washed out in the photos from the light but he looks pretty good. I managed to get some dappling in on his coat. I'll try to post better pic's later on.
Thanks for taking a look, Gerald.

Wow, fantastic progress Gerald. There's clearly a huge amount of work gone into sculpting and now painting these figures.

I hope you will tone down the green colour of Frodo's cloak.
