Asphalt road Help!

Hi guys!

Dont know if is the correct place to post this topic, anyway need your guidance.
I would like to build a small scenerie for my next weadgie project and I was looking through the internet and find only Railway stuff and just saw asphalt created by sand paper and I really not like of the result.
If anybody have an idea I appreciate.

I think you could make asphalt in miniature if you think of it as making it in real life. Asphalt is nothing more than aggregate mixed with tar and binders. I would take fine and rough sand and mix it with a glue or acrylic gel medium then spread it onto your base with a knife using it like a trowel. Then just paint it in the correct colors. In theory this should make for a convincing asphalt. I've never done it but it should work.
