Well guys, here it is at last, one of the most eagerly awaited figures on the market, and what a piece it is. the sculpting is absolutely amazing on this, guaranteed that what you see with the naked eye, is not all of the detail, just wait till you get the primer on this one. The subtle folds and creases of the trousers, the wear and tear on the leggings, everything is there. and then there is the casting which is second to none....

The majority of the figure in resin with the weapons cast in white metal. There is also two heads giving th modeller the choice of an older or younger Ronin. Roy has gone out of his way to cast the figure, with as little as possible, for the figure modeller to clean up, he even cleans the casting lugs off for you, we all know how much of a pain that is with resin. There was no flash on this, just the little casting line under the bottom of the trousers. The white metal parts are even better, needing only a touch with a blade and washing ready to paint. Roy has even cast a lovely base to go with the figure, this is just as highly detailed as the figure itself.

There is so much detail on this figure, you will wonder how a one man band like Roy Hunt Miniatures can produce such a figure. If there are only a few figures you buy this year, this has got to be one of them...

The figure will be available as from Monday 20th of March
on Roy’s website or from him at the following details:-

Sorry Ross,

I have no idea on what Roy is going to sell them at,
you will have to get in contact with him.

Dave

Dave, Thanks for the review. Roy has done a very commendable job of sculpting this figure, and now producing it as well.~Gary

Guys,

I saw this figure on Euro. It is so great, words are to short for the greatness of this figure. Great, Great, Great.
Dave i think you gonna get the best out of this.
So keep us informed.

Guys, do not hesitate getting hold of this one. It is FAR BETTER in the flesh than in photos. I'll be seeing Roy hopefully this weekend at Hornchurch and will pester him unitl I get one.
This got my vote for best figure of 2005. It wasn't in the poll. It should be for this year, for when I vote for it again.

Being an avid fan of Roy's work I have waited patiently for Roy to release this one. Like so many have said "A Must Have"

Roy, all my best wishes, it's a nice sculpt and by the pics it seems you have done a precious job with the casting.

I've not had any experience with The Japanese subject matter before, but seeing the SBS on Roy's workbench and the finished kit images, I'm sorely tempted.

Great work Roy.

Hopefully it will be at Hornchurch this weekend!?

Painting this time period in Asia is totally foreign to me (no pun intended) but that figure is gorgeous! How soon before it is available????????

Excellent.

Not only is Roy a talented sculptor but he is always very keen to pass on his enthusiasim for figures as well. Oh and he can paint them to a master standard as well.
