One of the things that I always loved about Alexandros Models is that in almost each bust and plenty of the figures you will find a little decoration for the base. Awesome detail!

In the case of Athena , there is a copy of the ancient coin. This piece gave me the opportunity to experiment with the textures and different effects of the metal. Where else could I try this effect of old surface so covered with patina! It's just perfect! :woot:

I used Acrylic metalic paint for the base and Oils for patina. I will definitely add some touch more, but for now I have this result. What do you think?

Thanks for showing how you're tackling this bust - an inspiration to us lesser mortals. Looking forward to seeing more of this.

Cheers

Thank you very very much!

I have some new photos to show! I guess I will work a bit more on this painting but for now I must stop :)

Please don't judge my painting too strict, I am not so much painter, as you know. Nevertheless I am happy to have this piece painted because I consider her a Patroness of my work. She is a Goddess of inspiration, art and wisdom so it is great to have her as a Protector in my home^^

I hope you will like how she looks at this stage of painting ^^

Thank you for watching!

Hi Anastasiya, she is beautiful. (y)(y)(y)(y) You were right about the hair colour and that skin tone is magnificent. I can't think that anyone will paint her any better.

Best wishes, Gary.
