Just got back from Atlanta yesterday, and what a great time it was! The show was fantastic, with countless impressive pieces on display. Here are a few pics, to give you just a small taste of the show. These first five are all from Alan & Marion Ball. There were I believe 8 pieces total in their display, every one of them a knockout. Congratulations to Alan and Marion for winning the Atlanta Cup, given to the Atlanta Grandmaster with the most impressive display. Well deserved!

The first two here are from Mike Blank. The next two are from Rod Curtis. The last one is from Bob Langenberg. I talked with Bob about this piece and he actually painted it a few years ago. I thought it was superb. He nailed that brownish armor color that was very common among the samurai.

The first piece here is by Joe Hudson. Great job Joe on the groundwork/scenery!! The second is from Matt Springer, who's work is always top shelf. The third is an original and very creative piece from John Long. The fourth piece is mine, and I'm very happy to say it was named this years Best of Show. The pic was taken at home in my "studio."

Thanks Jason.
Well deserved best of show with this piece. Great work.
My question to Joe is solved (mike blank), and yes the couple Ball can paint and sculpt some very serious pieces. I saw them tree years ago in Antwerp. It's breath taking.
The other pieces are also great.

Jason.

It was good to see you again.
Great pics. Thanks for posting. It was a great show. Thanks for all that came. The figures were just fantastic that were there.
Everyone's display was really good.
Congrats on B.O.S. Jason.. well deserved.
I, once again, learned a lot from everyone, talking with them and looking at their
figures.
The turn out was great , full exhibit room and full vendor room.

Jason,

Thanks for the pictures and Congrads on a well deserved BOS. I just wanted to let everyone see the other beauty that you had there...Your lancer! I love this figure.

Jason, congrats on the BoS; it's inspiring to know that a stock figure can win such a prestigious award. Well deserved! Your lancer is superb as well.

Hello everyone!

Well, it certainly looks to have been a terrific show. I am jealous of those who were there, believe me.

Even judging from the pictures alone (always cautiously) the standard of the entries loooks to have been sky-high. It always was anyway but this year looks to have topped previous shows from where I'm sat.

I'm really glad you all had a great time. I can only hope I can emulate Arnold Schwarzenegger ~ "I'll be back!"

I'm happy to say I was able to view these pieces "up close and personal." Jason, congrats...certainly well deserved.
