Atlanta Military Figure Society Updates & April Meeting

Hey Y’all

Just wrapped up another monthly meeting at the AMFS.

Covered a lot this month, of note.
·

• The 2024 Atlanta Show will be held 9-11 February. This year will be the second weekend of February as opposed to the usual third weekend. More to follow in the coming months.

·

• This year we will be conducting a raffle that will be drawn at the award ceremony of the Show with three prizes up for grabs, two $100 gift cards for Sabot Miniatures and a figure painted by the club’s resident Grand Master Matt Springer. Tickets will be going on sale in the coming months (watch this space), tickets will be able to be brought online prior to or at the show and if you can’t be in attendance to pick up your prize we will ship
• The club has been working over the last several months at revamping and moving towards its next evolution as all strong long-term organizations do. As part of this the club has created a new flexible base yearly activity schedule structured to include more variety, practical activities at a variety of locations. Below is the new club base schedule with an emphasis on gathering together to actually paint, learn and try/ see other techniques (5 X Painting Meetings) mixed in with a variety of social, Show and club activities.

· In line with the above the May Meeting will be a paint day at Hobbytown USA Kennesaw on 20 May starting at 10am. Bring you current project, paints, brushes, light and cheer for a day of painting, fun and company.
