G'day Everyone,
While my workshop is down, I have been playing with a few ideas. And below is one of them.
Sculpted by Phil Walden in 1/10th, it depicts an Australian Light Horsemen Palestine in 1917.
Now I know what some of you are thinking, not another Light Horseman. But this one is correct in just about every way. And the simple fact that I was in a Light Horse Regiment in the Army just added to the appeal for me.
The picture (poor pic, sorry) is of one of the test casts, and once I paint one up, the figure should be available when my workshop gets up and going again and reopens.
You can see from the photo that I have not cleaned any of the parts. This shows how small the casting blocks are. It will retail for $52AUD via PaypPal. I hope too have a web site up soon to.
Any comments or quires will be appreciated.

Regards Jason Miller

Looks very good.

BTW: What ever happened to the decals sets for the Young Bust of the Hue USMC Marine radio ANPRC 25/77 set and the M 18 smoke grenadies you were just about to produce some time back ??

Cheers

Still on hold mate. As I am a one man show other jobs can take priority, but I have emailed (I hope) everyone that emailed me with reference to the decals. They will be coming out. The shed took a fair hit from the car and that in turn cost me a hell of a lot to fix. I'm still down the computer and Alps printer for the time being. So easy cats like this one have taken over so I can get the the funds to get back into proper production of my Armour range and now figures.

Cheers Jason

Hi Jason,

That's a lovely bust and I've already placed an order for it. Just wanted to know if the slouch hat comes with a chin strap and if the Rising Sun badge is on the underside of the bream of the hat? It's a pity the bust doesn't come with the full shoulders and upper arms so we could see the "Australia" shoulder flashes and the regimental colour patches, but I'm not complaining. You'll never hear me say "Not another Light Horseman!!" Any idea when you will start shipping them out??

A likely story about the crash, nore like a ton of empty pizza boxes fell on it! Get painting we wanna see the finished product. PS where the f### are those decals?

Re figure

G'day Tony,
The chin strap is at the back of the head. And no to the hat badge.
The bust wont go on sale properly for a couple of weeks. But you blokes over in Perth should have yours in the next week or so. That is all dependant on Phil. He got the first 25 casts.

Sharpie, you already got yours decals. What's the problem??????

Cheers Jason

This is where I'm up to

G'day All,
This is where I'm up to so far on the bust.
After 3 years of not putting paint to a brush I'm slowly getting happier with it.
I still have the hat to finish and the eyes need fixing.

Cheers Jason

Cheers Tony,
Do you have any idea how hard it is to roll a durry in 1/10th scale???? Took me a couple of attempts, but it worked. Literally!!!
Here are a couple of better shots.
I'm trying to get that "Why do I always have to be at the back of the column on every patrol" look.

I do actually!

If you've ever ridden at the back of a column of 200 horses you'll know that the choking clouds of dust and the smell of 200 farting/ sh#tting horses is enough to knock you out of the saddle and leave you heaving your guts out. I understand that look perfectly!

morning Jas.
mate great to see you remembered the fluffy end of the brush holds the paint,.. but your having fun, the fag end looks cool, must say he dose have that last in line look about him. May put a pair of dust goggles around his neck and a pipe in his mouth..
Tony, phone Chris, posted Sat. express mail, should be there by Weds. latest...

thanks for the good thoughts..Phil..

just looking at his eyes......perhaps closing up his bottom lid a wee bit and a few chicken feet around them,..a man who has live his days outside in the bush,..why am l seeing these things after the fact.....my wife just gave me the answer, why do they allways say that...///?.. Phil..

That's simple Phil, because Noelene's a lot smarter than you mate!!!

I'm catching up with Chris this sunday for a painting session mate, so I'll pick it up then.

Thanks Cobber

You guys make me wish a good transfer of "The Lighthorseman" was around on DVD.

Great looking study of the trooper BTW.
