Hi everyone!

After 5 years I'm finally making a new figure. It represents an Austro-hungarian soldier of Landwehr mountain troops leaving for the front at the beginning of the war 100 years ago.

The material is (mostly) Magic sculp. Rifle and equipment are my own castings.
The scale is 1/24, 75mm

I'm making this figure for the Ljubljana show in November.
It's time for painting now.

Cheers,
Primož

Hi Primoz
Your figure looks greats, will this become a commercial after the Ljubljana show? Looking forward to seeing your figure painted.
Cheers
Roy

Thanks, Roy! No, not commercial. It's just a figure I'm making to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the great war.

Very nice!

Looks a little like my grandfather, who actually was Slovenian.

regards,
Jack

Hi Primoz
I salute your sculpting talent Sir, this really is a great figure but I am sad to read your figure will not be commercially available. The Austro-Hungarian Army seems, to me, somewhat under represented in the scale figure world.

Good luck at the show and please keep us posted on how you get on.

Cheers
Roy

Thanks guys!
I realized though that I made a mistake:depressed:. The left leg is not bent correctly. The knee should be more forward or the foot more to the rear.
I'm remodeling the left leg now. I should've double checked the anatomy before clothing. Well then, lesson learned! Better late than never.

Cheers,
Primož

Hi,
Very interesting subject.
You've done a very good sculpting job. Natural pose.
Pascal

Very nicely done. The details are excellent and the depiction of anatomy seems spot on. The face looks particularly naturalistic. I also appreciate the low-key posing and situation. It's clear there's some little story here but it's not "spartaaaa!!!! pew pew boom pkkkkjjj".
