Very best wishes for a full recovery.
What a beautifully finished masterpiece.
It made me go back and re-read your original SBS. You've certainly re-camouflaged the 'green' horse perfectly.

Cheers,
Andrew

Thank you for your kind words Arj :)

....still haven't worked out what caused that....one of life's little mysteries I guess

Cheers

I wasn't aware you'd been ill, Ron. Glad to see you're on the mend and back to painting. Best wishes to you.

Very nice job on the dragoon by the way!

Have family experience of TIAs and wish you all the best on your recovery. I think our hobby, despite its frustrations when fixing/painting, is still likely to be one of the most therapeutic activities you could do on your road to recovery.

Glad your on the mend, this is a terrific figure as you say, Ray Lamb's finest. Shame you cannot get it anymore.
I had a go at this in the 80s and it beat me then.
Painting is top notch and you've done justice to this.
Best regards
Bob

Hello Jeff....I have learnt just how common TIA's are....I consider myself lucky to have had a warning....giving me the chance to change my lifestyle and avoid it happening again (y)
I was unlucky in that it left me with residual bouts of shaky hands.....which is what damaged my self confidence....and ability to enjoy any bench time

In finishing this particular project...I have regained a lot of my self confidence....and can...as you say...enjoy the therapeutic benefits of our hobby :)

Glad you like the finished result :D

Hello Bob...glad you feel I have done this piece the justice it deserved :)...it is very tricky to assemble in the later stages and needs a lot of thought
It is still available from Bonapartes.....casting is every bit as good as the original from Ray.....and originals do still spring up on e-bay from time to time (y)

Many thanks for kind words and comments Brian.....means a lot mate :)
Very definitely one of Ray's best (y)
I think groundwork is important to the telling of the story for any piece.....nameplate is a home brew ;)

Look forward to talking soon :D

Ron

Thanks Huw.....honestly mate...with all the support I have received from friends on here...not just today...but over the months gone by...I have got my confidence back to a much higher level.

Awesome work I don't know why but the saddle really looks great . Glad you are feeling better I wish you all the best.

Hi Samson....glad you like him....I think it looks better for not being parade ground clean....personally...I always prefer the lived in/used look on my pieces....more natural IMHO....I also never use pure whites!
Thanks for kind wishes (y)
Ron

Brilliant work, Ron, and I'm glad you're well on the road to firing on all cylinders(y) Such episodes in our lives certainly bring what is important into sharp focus!
I had this wonderful figure way,WAY back, and now wish I hadn't sold it. Yours is masterful;)

All the best,
Alan
