That's the badge for a Leading Hand, or Killick. The Navy equivalent of a Corporal. Petty Officer badge is crossed anchors below a crown.

Cheers,

Windy

Not to pile on, everyone, but isn't the correct spelling "Naval" and not "Navel", which where I come from means "belly button" rather than "things nautical"?

Can you tell that I'm a teacher in my day job? Yeah, that's pretty much how my students respond, too!

Cheers,

Brian

You're quite correct Brian I noticed that too but it bad for the pupils confidence if you point out too many mistakes. A teacher told me that at a parents evening once. :D

:D :D Guilty as charged billy... Been undermining the confidence of young 'uns for 28 years and counting ... It's a wonder they still pay me...

Hi Guys thank you for the help. and yes I'm ashamed to say that I have spelt it wrong. but I think you all know what it was meant to be lol. should have paid more attention in English.

So from the comments it's ok to go with the photo from Nap? I will be passing it on to Diego next question is did they have it on both arms or just the one? we do want to get this right as we know someone will pick up on it if we get it wrong.
Cheers
