Hi Guys

Just thought I would slip this one in, I have to say, this was one of the best figures that I have ever put together, the fit of parts is absolutely brilliant, it has so much atmosphere, even in the box. So instead of following the usual route I thought I would use a little Artistic Lisence, please tell me what you think... :)

Hope you like it

Dave

He looks great Dave. I like the color choices you made. Not sure if historically correct, but never the less a beautifu job. I shall keep these pics for when I start mine in a couple of weeks.

Hi Guy

As far as I can work out the only thing that is kind of incorrect is the heraldry, but as far as the film goes, it was not that accurate. Balian existed, he had three sons of which one was called Balian as well and aparently the father was the crusader rather than the son.

So from all the info obtained from the hollywood version and the historical version I painted him as I wanted him, unfortunately accuracy is not a strong point in most of hollywoods offerings, so I used what I could...

Hey I like it....

Dave, Very nice. I really like the worn look of the boots and the painting on the shield. Were the scratches just painted in? They look really good.~Gary

Hi Gary

Thanks, I am glad you like it, I take it you mean the scuffs on the red, they were just done over the red with a light drybrushing, using the main base colour, but most of the scratches on the rest of it were done with a no.3 brush and a wash of black on the brush just unloaded onto a dry cloth then the brush just flicked across the surface very lightly, and very randomly, trying to be too precise makes them look just that, too precise...

Dave,
GREAT job! I love the wear on the shield. This is such a nice figure. You have really emphasized the pose with the simple solitary presentation nicely. Good stuff!

It really looks great, Dave. I saw KofH three times, and think you've captured the feel of the character very well.

Well done, mate. ;)
