Here are the first few steps of a four figure set of WWII Japanese infantry in the midst of a Banzai charge. The first two shots are of the Officer, who will be running wielding a Samurai sword. The second that appears to be a man dancing (Bill refers to him as "I Get A Round", remember the Beach Boys song!) dark humor he, he, he. But it is actually going to be a Japanese soldier reacting to the impact of a bullet strike!! (A Round, get it).

The set will also feature a Japanese standard bearer and a fourth figure with a rifle.

After this set is done we will be doing a four to six figure set of US Marines halting the Banzai charge.

Also working on several sets of US Marines in action poses from OIF. Busy, Busy, Busy!!

Round, round, round, I get a-round.........

I don't get it.

OK, ok, ok. I get it. Looks a lot like the "one man band" at Louie's on a late Saturday night. The King of Rock-a-rolla. Even if it's in his own mind.

Seriously Bill, it looks good. I look forward to seeing the rest of it. (y)

See ya, Jim

This'll be interesting to watch. It seems to me that the Japanese army gets shortchanged by the figure manufacturers. Looking forward to the next installment.

Bill, It will be neat to see these develope. They make me want to sculpt. Great stuff, I especially like the running officer.~Gary

Thanks for all of the kind words and positive input. Several of you have emailed me about the folks at Missing-Lynx deleteing my posts (?) I really do not know why they would delete them, they have not said anything to me? Anyway, here are the photos of the next step. I have roughed out the musculature on both figures legs and filled in the mid-section of the torsos.

Bill, Missing-Lynx is a stickler for you including your e-mail address among other things, even though when you go to submit a posting it says OPTIONAL. I appreciate the oppourtunity to see your work, so if you only post on one place this would be your best bet IMHO. Great stuff.~Gary

Thanks for the explaniation, in fact I have always given my email address and followed the posting guidelines listed?

I'm starting to hear some really disappointing stuff about what might be going on with Missing-Lynx.

I guess we'll watch and see.

All the best,

Bill Chilstrom

Mmmmm....................Homer Simpson kind of drowel.........must have one set.......

Looks kind of tempting though.

Not being a Beach Boy fan I would suggest AC/DCs "Gimme a bullet" or Skeet Williams in "Skeet surfin". ;)

Here I have started the leather leggings on his lower legs. These were made of leather and were secured with buckles.

I always try to work on two figures at the same time, so this second figure also gets the right pants leg done.

Wow,Bill,GREAT job on the figures so far Looking at the figures as they progress,I can almost hear the desperate cries of the Japanese troopers as they're charging and the whine of the bullets zipping past their heads.AWESOME (y)

Thanks to all of you for the positive encouragement, I'm having a blast sculpting these first two in the Banzai series, can't wait to get the rest done and then start painting them!!

These next two photos show the pants legs all done on these two and now its on to the upper torso's.
