I am new to this site. Does anyone know where I can get figures for the royal marines. my ancestor John Prettyjohn was the first royal marine to be awarded the victoria cross and I was looking for something to have as a momento to him

I don't know of any RMLI figures for the Crimean period, you may well have to convert an Infantry figure.
I know there are some ex-marines on this site, hopefully they will know more than me.
Best wishes on your search

Hi,
It's a pleasure to meet you here, I sculpted and painted this one in 54mm many years agon based on Cpl Prettyjohn, although mine was made a private it is based on the Stadden painting of Cpl Prettyjohn.

As a former RM Bugler I attended his memorial service annually at his grave where 4 of us would play the last post, I believe it continues.

There are other RM figures and I do still have the master for the 54mm, although it never was produced as it was a one off and I used a Latorre face, I had considered doing a new face and releasing as the rest is scratch built. I also have a RM drum major and ww1 rm Bugler in the Cgs range, the Drum Major is popular amongst serving guys and I bronze on request with base, send a message if I can help or if you would like to talk about the 54mm, I can easily cast him up with some tweaks and a new head.
Best wishes
