Would love it but I will have to find a better way to paint the gold braid. I don't really like the bottles of gold metals from Darkstar.

Top drawer finish there Bob.... terrific....(y). can I ask what camera you are using Bob...cheers Mike

Thank you Mike for the great comment.
I use a Nikon D850 with a Sigma 105mm macro lens. It sits on a tripod and the I can use f29, an exposure of 1.6 seconds and an ISO of 64. You can either use the timer or electronic release. Sounds very technical but easy.

Any final pics Bob

Interested to see how you mounted the sword / and straps

The sword scabbard need new sling swivels as the one's in the kit are fixed, that should be easy to sort, then the slings will fit better under the tunic. I don't think it was up to me to do the fix as it's not what's in the box.

I have a photo of the short sling but it's a modern one although nearly the same. Gold braid on the front, dark red leather on the rear and side of the leather.

Hi Bob

A very valid point ref slings , thinking about putting the sword in the hand on my attempt !

Thanks for details on the slings ...very useful

These are from AOC (Army Ordnance Corps ) officers sword belt for interest

Look forward to seeing the next from your bench
