Thanks Roc, kenneth and Anders on the kind words.

I decided to post something regarding the pose. Instead of working on the pants, I am now working on his socks eventhough they are likely to be covered by his pants eventually. Somehow, I got carried away.

Please note that the rifle is slightly elevated. I am trying to subtlely indicate that the target is at a distant.

You may also have noticed that I have saw the figure at the waist. This is to allow me to adjust his torso with regards to his aiming pose. Most probably, I will separate the figure to ensure easy application of paint.

Hope you enjoy this.

regards :)

Dear folks,

I have been pretty busy lately and have not posted any thing for the past few weeks. This evening, with some time on hand, I have managed to download some pic from my digital camera and did some cropping.

Here are some pics of the pants which I sculpted. Hope you like it.

regards

PS A happy weekend to all.

Beautiful work on the pants Wong..........I like the folds and creases and how you have hollowed out the pantleg at the bottom. I look forward to your next step

Dear Guy, Jason and kenneth,

Glad you you like it. I have just updated my webpage regarding the M1859 Sharps rifle. I have some text describing the scratching building of the rifle.

Hello Wong,

This it turning out to be a really nice figure. I like the approach that you have on this one. I have a book I picked up some years ago that is really good. It is called Letters from a Berdan Sharpshooter. These are his letters that he has written home. It also contains some really nice pictures.

I look forward to seeing more of this one. Keep up the good work.(y)

Joe

Dear Joe, thanks for the kind words. glad that you like it. The next picture posting will most probably takes some time as I am in the midst of some sort of examination.

I have no problem with your language. Just keep going, it can only improve!

Thanks Vince,

Attached is a pic of the aligment peg I made for the figure. I have to part it at the waist in order to sculpt the frock. A notch was made in the hole in order to orientate the two halves.

Regards :)

Wong,
Excellent work...am in awe!
I really like the toe sticking out of the right shoe...are you going to keep that there? Is this a "one of" piece? Simply outstanding work.

Thanks for sharing

All the best

Patrick
