Since I am new to this world of figure construction and painting; What are the best kits available 90mm and above for detail and fit? I have a bit of experience with Verlinden and a new found love with Andrea and Pegaso, but I would think that there must be others. I am currently interested in Napoleonic, Knights and I also like WWII. Please give me your thoughts.

Verlinden has a line of Napoleonics in 120mm; Fonderie has some in 90 and 120mm and, if you really want a larger scale line, LeCimier has several in 180mm. Red Lancer carries them. Squadron used to carry the Verlinden ones, but their Napoleonic lines are sadly depleted.

Poste Militaire. Full stop. Guy knows he's on about. In fact their Chasseur a Cheval is, pretty much, perfect.
It just weighs a ton.......
White Models do the odd 90mm one, but are not cheap. Verlinden can be a bit hit n miss.

I´m agree, Poste Militaire. They was ten years advanced in quality and detail, when they appeared for first, time.

Nice 120mm Nappies.

Hello Rocky,
Take a look at the offerings of Michael Roberts Ltd. I have always liked the 120mm Napoleonic kits they make. They are priced reasonably and widely distributed too.
My favorite is this one, NA-01.

My 2 cents.

Hi Rocky

I have to say the very best is Poste Militaire, no other manufacturer has come close to Ray Lambs sculpting and casting, for many years, Almond Miniatures were the closest back in the heyday, unfortunately no longer with us but you can still pick up a few on ebay. But i have to say the Dave at Bonapartes is doing a brilliant job with the Help of Ray Lamb to reproduce the quality of the original and realy they still are the best value for money, take the Chasseur a Cheval De la Guard Imperial Mounted figure 90mm and that figure in the UK is still at less than £90 (about $180) plus postage compared to Pegaso which is about £135.00 for a 90mm mounted Knight. but this is only a bit of info for you, the choice again is for you to make..

Dave
