Bjorn the Viking

A Danish company, Nordleys Miniatures gets top marks for Bjorn the Viking.

Its refreshing to see a different pose in this bust and I find its simplicity attractive.

The figure comes in grey resin and the casting is crisp and smooth. I especially like the way Bjorn has a chiselled face with fine features.

The sculptor has also given him excellent anatomical proportions, not some steroid pumped berserker.

All 5 pieces are free of any fitting problems and there is minimal flash.

The spear tip even slips over the end of the shaft.

The torso has a pre-drilled hole in the base for a woo/metal mounting rod...a resin one is provided with the kit...a big time saver.

The overall design of the piece allows for any number of conversions and the bare torso begs for some ink. Someone please market assorted scale Viking tattoos...please.

Nordleys also gets high marks for packaging.

A top class box, wrapped with a ribbon and resin seal with a Viking rune

Inside we have recycled packing surrounding the resin with the torso held securely in place

Nice review there and it's great to see how a little conversion can create a whole new model. Thanks for posting Nap and thanks for writing the review Kevin.
