This may have been asked and answered before, but here goes.
The ready painted figures from Andrea, especially the Bighorn, Wild West types, are these available unpainted?
They look like great castings, maybe even better than some of their Golden West line.

Thanks in advance Michael

I'm pretty sure every mini on that blog is just bought from the manufacturer unpainted for the purpose of painting and selling.

Is there any specifically that you're looking for as I didn't spot the Andrea ones through your link.

Also; the photos on that blog really rely on the black background and overhead light to create shadows that are not painted and also hide very average painting.

Forte,
As far as I can see the painted figures are a different range from the painted ones on Andrea web page.

The figures on that Blog are not done to be sold. they are all painted by myself as display pieces, and I can assure you that shadows and highlights are painted on them. I would also class them as just above average. The black background pictures were taken by Paco at the Soldat De plom in Girona and I was just using them to save me taking pictures. ;)

Thanks Michael

Fair play but your post confused me as it seemed like you were asking about something on that blog link. And I say what I saw, and those black background photos don't do your painting justice with the cast shadows from the directed lighting.

As for the pre-painted, I'm not totally sure which you are looking at from the Black Hawk Toy Soldier list. I doubt they are any different from the other Andrea castings are they should have been cleaned up and primed.

I would also class them as just above average.;)

FWIW I rate your painting as "well above above average". There's some good stuff there and in your pF back catalogue. Besides which we can't all be ace photographers - I know I'm not!

I wouldn't stress anyway. Nothing wrong with being average. I know I am.
And I'll shut up and go away now.
