Update. Have added the body of the uniform with folds and creases. Position of the belt and strap. I added the collar to the separate head. Upper arms with pin placement which I help to gauge volume and creases.

I'll keep the upper arms soft and will add the lower arm soon, still have a way to go with the torso. I'm working from the shoulders down with soft unbaked polymerclay. The kilt, sporran and legs have been lightly baked so I can handle these parts without damaging. I will only bake at the maximum once everything is completed.

Hi Chris

Great update , figures really coming along well now , if this was a commercial piece (Which this isn't ...one lucky future owner) it's would definitely be very popular

I could watch you sculpt for hours it's been great to see your skill develop

Be interested in seeing the references if possible

Thanks for sharing the pics

Happy sculpting

Coming on great Chris, super progress. Notice you mentioned there might be a small commercial run by the person whose commissioned the piece - are they already spoken for or would it be first come first served?

Cheers

Neal

Hi Neal,

It will be a cast to order release with the first run capped at 50 figures.

There will also be a second contemporary Black Watch officer figure coming at some point later.

Cheers,

James
Thanks for the update James, really appreciated.

Superb. As someone starting out doing simple reanimation/conversion, it's awesome to see such amazing sculpting in stages.

Hi Lieven,
Thank you, glad you like where I'm up to. I will be posting updates soon, and I'll also post what tools I used and how I approached the back of the kilt for you :)
Regards
Chris.
