Managed to scrape a 3rd place in the Scottish nationals with this 200mm mg guy at Kharkov.

It's a slog

Congrats. I like the small details. I have never done a figure this size, makes me curious...

This was my first 200mm figure. The thing is I thought it would be easier to paint but because I was used to 120mm scale there are quite a few differnces. The main one is the length of time it takes to do them because of the increase in surface area. It just feels like your getting no where. This guy took about 4 months to complete with the base and I was off work with a torn achilles tendon the whole time!

What a beautiful rendering of this figure. I love all the details and your
painting of flesh, cloth of the uniform, equip, et cetera is just so well done.

And to win at your Nation's national event is really quite something to be
pround of. I have a few models that have done that here in the US and they
are very special to me. And I'm sure that is the same for your Wehrmacht
figure in 200mm.
