I've just been sorting some of my archive of pictures, and come across one or two of Bob Rowe's Napoleonic box dioramas that used to be on display at Stratfield Saye, Wellington's house. This may be a question for the 'elders' of the hobby, but does anyone know what became of those wonderful displays? I'm recalling visits I made there in the '70's, and gazing in wonder at their expertise. Not only the figures themselves, beautifully animated, but also the buildings and lit scenes.
I don't think they ended up in the BMSS National Collection, and would be interested to know their fate.
This is more a shot in the dark, but one or two of you might recall:)

Cheers, Alan

The BMSS National Collection is now split between Blenheim Palace and Stratford Armouries Museum.Bob Rowe's dioramas could be at either location.

Hi, Nap,
The pics are stuck in an old scrap-type album[I cut them out of a catalogue] and, in any case, I just don't have the techno ability. Check my posts! I haven't posted a single damn picture of anything! Wish I could.

Cheers, Alan
