Holla People!!!
At last I made something that satisfies me for my russian tanker Boris. It for 95% done, but there's still a lot to do to have it finished.
This is the list that still need to be done:
*First and for all, repainting some parts of the figure... A while ago my bookshell came down and damaged (lucky me, not a lot) a little bit on this tanker... Other figures cant tell it now. RIP my little friends :(
*the coat need to be 'mudded' and add some snow, smoke and oil (from inside the tank)
* Add more snow to the ground on his right foot (can only be done when the figure is attached to the base)
* The wooden wall of the trench needs to be better painted... Not satisfied with it.
* The ammocrates details need to be painted.
* And other German Equipment in the trench. Maybe you guys can tell me what I could use... I'm thinking of a lot of stuff to add, but just can't choose... Help me up on this one!!!!!!!

Comment and critism's welcome!

Hi Westley,

nice figure and nice base.

But there is something I'd like to show you.
Here how I would have done your vignette :

Of course if you do my version, you'll have to cut in the wooden base. But the final result will look lots better and clean.
That what I do now for every figure when needed.

Of course that is just a sugestion, you're still free to do as you prefer (that's not an order :) )

Wesley, nice figure and nice base.

Could you take some more photos with a better backround?

I would agree with Jean's comment about the base, but at the end of the day is your choise. Never the less it looks great!!!!

JP,

I agree with you... Indeed, that would have been better for my vignette...
That's something on my list for the next one. This is only my third vignette and I think its the lack of experience that kills me now ;)

Thanks for showing!

Greetings
Wesley

Wesley,

I showed you that because I did the same.
I painted the Pegaso Iroquois and I did a black thik border behind the wooden base.
And then some peoples at shows explained me how to make it looks better.
Since then, I try always to cut the wooden base instead of doing a black border.

I though I could share this to you planet memebers.
It's always great to share tips between friends :)

Please post your vignette again when it will be finished

JP

Hi Wesley,

very nice figure and a very nice setup. I´m looking forward to see this all finished.

I´m sorry to hear of your desaster with the bookshelf...

Best regards,
Markus
