Unlike a lot of dioramas the composition is tight. All too often the figures are spaced so far apart there is too much in the way of dead space. Bob's diorama gives the illusion of a much larger scene involving more figures than what can be seen.~Gary

AWESOME WORK,Bob (y) (y) (y) !!!!! I can almost hear the rattle of the machine-guns and the neighing of the terrified horses!! WELL DONE !
Kenneth.

Look how the leaning trees add to the chaotic impression.

Careful composition always pays and in this instance, it's simply masterful.

Another great work - action and drama in one compact, exciting package.

This is every bit as good as your other works, especially the "Zoot Suit Riots". However, nothing holds a candle to "Strange Fruit". I saw it in person at SCAHMS and it is incredibly moving and creates so many emotions.

I still haven't started on the one you were gracious enough to offer advice on - "Welcome Home, Heroes" - maybe one of these days...

Looking forward to seeing your next masterpiece.

Thanks for the comments gents. I stopped modeling a few years ago due to trouble with my eyes and working with 1/32 scale. I did quite a few dioramas and I am so glad people remember them. For those who are not familiar here are a few pics:

Punitive Patton - Lt. George Patton in Mexico with Pershing seen here killing one of Pancho Villas senior officers as they attack a foraging patrol Patton was leading. They really did charge out of a hacienda on horseback.
