Here is a really cool figure by Sphere Wars that I recently completed. This is a similar version to one done by Jarhead in Germany. I was able to re-create it with his permission because it really fit what I wanted to do for my Dad. Each arrow represents a surgery he has had to undergo to live a little longer for us. He was an industrial X-Ray technician in the 60's, a time when they didn't know the full effects of gamma rays on the human body. He has six arrows piercing his flesh but he still has the strength to yell "BRING IT!".

Thanks again to Bill for his amazing pictures.

Thanks guys for checking him out. It was tough to paint at times because of the uncertainty surrounding the latest procedure. But all is good for now. Thanks again.

Steve, he is the toughest old bastard I've ever met. He refused to take pain pills after having his left lung removed because it made him "loopy". The doctors wouldn't let me take the unused stuff home.:(

What an outstanding way of expressing your feelings, pride and gratitude to your father.
So pleased to hear the latest procedure has met with success, every minute is precious.
oh! and by the way it's a cracking model.
Regards
Derek

Mike,
Having seen this live, it is a stunning piece and you should have a card made to go with the display as this makes the piece so much more stunning and creative. Glad that everything is alright now and look forward to seeing you in Chicago.
P.S. I can send you the information on my operations:lol::lol::lol: if that will help any????
Cheers to my classmate.
John

Thank you my friends. @Theofilos, it is hard to say the scale but it is probably close to being slightly larger than a 90mm human figure. @MR.Bowery no more surgery descriptions please.

Thank you again for looking at this and commenting on it.
