Thanks everyone for your positive comments, I really appreciate them as I'm pretty new to sculpting I never really know how each one is going to turn out and although I'm happy with the end result, it means a lot that you guys like them too.

Cheers

Matt

Ian: they're 1:35 scale, I'm a glutton for punishment!

Is this going to be commercially available as a kit?

It´s the only WWII model I´d ever consider painting.

I´ve been to Arnhem and felt the goose bumps.

Sorry mate, but no, I'm not making these for commercial purposes. The reason is two-fold: Firstly I'm only just beginning to sculpt and don't think I'm a good enough level yet. Secondly the heads, boots and kit are from other manufacturers (Resicast, Hornet, Verlinden etc) and until I can sculpt these for myself I won't be approaching any manufacturers.

Please keep checking back to my blogsite as I'm hoping the diorama should start taking shape. I'm trying to capture the mood of the battle by using the Hotel grounds as a point of reference. Therefore there will be wounded, dead, blokes in slit trenches, blokes looking up etc with a portion of the Hotel as a backdrop. I would very much appreciate yours and others feedback!

Thanks for your comments and sorry that you won't be able to paint these (just yet).

Matt

Well, I've got so many figures to sculpt, I think I might take a break soon and paint one of these guys. I'm moving house soon (next couple of weeks) so keep an eye on the painting forum in September! :)

Cheers
