Hi, All!
Planning a conversion and I need the following 120mm equipment:

- rifle
- backpack
- cartridge pouch
- water canteen
- bayonet in scabbard
- slings

I tried with the Mitches Coldstream Guard, but it is not in production anymore.
Moz sculpt preferably.

Cheers,

Iñaki

Hi!
I've just checked with Gordon now.. otherwise, I'll try Stu.
I recently saw a post at PF with a nice painting of ICM platic models. Someone suggested to use them for Conversions.
I bought two in Hong Kong this week and, due to my poor skills I have decided to convert the Guard into a Grenadier, but dressed with the 1856 tunic, that is much more similar to todays one.
Love redjackets...
By the way, anyone could post pictures of the 1856 soldiers tunic?
Im not sure about the rear part and I cannot find it googling.

Thank you!!

Let me check. I have the book Crimean Memories full of British equipment and uniforms. It definitely has rear views of both shell and tailed jackets. Anything else you want pics of? I'll get back to you later this morning

Thanks a lot, Paul!
Any view of the differences in the late Grenadier uniform will help.
Cheers!

Inaki - I have this pic from the Staffordshire Regiment Museum - it is a line infantry regiment, but the equipment will be the same and the tunic will be cut the same, with different colour facings....

Thanks a lot, Valiant.
I refer, however, to the longer jacket that replaced that short version. The new type was more similar to the one used today, but probably a bit longer and "bell type". This is just what I understand after the pictures, but maybe someone has more info.
I attach a pic of the late type.
Kind regards,

Iñaki

Inaki - The long tunic you refer to in the pic wasnt actually issued until after the Crimean War - these photos are of veterans of the war - the tunics worn were of the type in the photo I posted(y)

I've got the MMM Coldstream Guardsman which is built and painted...you are more than welcome to him.
Cheers
Paul
