British LRDG 1942, North Africa
1/10th scale resin - 8 parts
Sculpted & Painted by Young B. Song
This month's new release from Young Miniatures depicts a British LRDG soldier in North Africa in 1942. Loaded with character and detail this kit is comprised of 8 resin parts.
Packaged in Young's traditional black cardboard box with a clear plastic sleeve around the box. All parts are sandwiched between layers of foam with the smaller parts sealed inside a clear plastic zip-lok baggie. The above bottom photo shows all the parts removed for inspection.
Above you see various angles of the separate cast head showing the beard stubble detail and the clearly defined eyes squinting.
Above you see the four sides of the separately cast hat showing the woven detail of the Longshoreman's cap worn during this period.
Above you see several views of the chest, head and collar dry-fitted together. Casting blocks were removed to show you the fitment of parts.

Conclusion: An excellent bust by Young Miniatures full of character. All fitment of parts shown fit well and will fit better with additional sanding of the underside of the hat. Highly recommended.
