The show was very enjoyable with lots of buzz ...competition was well subscribed to ..great painting in all sections but especially in the class I judged with Malc (nice one mate) ..yes thats right it was the busts class ....great to see PF members doing well and being able to have the opportunity to see the painting up close .

Big congratulations to Edward Sage for winning the top prize in the Tommys War sponsored class ..brilliant stuff there as well .

Well done to all that got awards

Hi folks ....

Are you sitting comfotably....

Now then let me tell you a story ........those that know me will probably realise if something is going to happen it will happen to me ....Mr Lucky  ....well..guess who couldn't find his car keys  ....I had left it safely in Swindon after a pick from Bob Orr (Banker)...after much searching and hunting under seats and in and out the hall .still....no keys

so it was time to get back and anyway Mrs Nap could bring me the spare set ..(after all she wouldn't mind me calling her away from Doc Martin..would she???(y) ) .....

we got back to the car (at least it was still there..looking good so far ......Paul Lawaday (one of our clan) got to the car before me ...and guess what ..the keys were in there :X3: .....phew a relief amidst the laughter  ...so I said thanks and away Bob and co went to drive back home ........

I lept in the car with a speed of Nigel Mansell and ...NOTHING  not a bloomig sausage ..I had left the ignition on all day ..battery drained .....oh heavans it gets worse ...no jump leads ...so ...

The garage wouldn't lend me a set so I bought one (much grumbling..how was I going to feed the little ones now) .....can you jump start me I asked in hope...NO was the reply the assistant had finished his break ...so after asking 6 passing cars one eventually helped (the wife was being taught to drive so was a little wary of this weird man ..me !!) ...

SUCCESS ..car started ........well happy:happy: ....however it now needs the SRS checked out on Monday .......

after recalling this event ..much laughter by Mrs Nap ......oh the joys of going to a show ...Mr Stupid here ...........

Next year my keys are being given to Bob for safe keeping .............

Thanks to Bob and his wife and to Paul and to Julie and Paul Newman for their help (Julie's comments .."well it could only be you")

Happy modelling folks see you next year.

Great day today. Really nice to catch up with friends and meet some of the regulars on PF (Kevin, Brian, Malcolm and Dave M) great to see you and your work guys. Well done Edward! always enjoy seeing your figures. Lots of good painting and good people there today. Tommy's War what can I say :):). Will be back next year for sure.

Alex.

Thanks to everyone who came to the show yesterday.
Attendance was up on last year, and we had more Gold and Silver winners than any year before.
Glad that you found the keys, Nap, after all the hunting around for them at the show! Thanks for doing the demo, too.
Even with Bonaparte's non-appearance, I'm sure there was enough traders for you all to have a good topping up of your grey armies!
I will get some pics up on the bmss website this week when I've recovered enough! Check www.bmssonline.comdiary - annual show page
See you next year if not before!

Had a great time at the show, it was good to catch up with old friends and make some new ones. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the stand and said hello.

Paul as usual thanks for putting the effort in to making the show what it is today.

See you all next year.

Hi Guys ,

Nice to traders there , good stuff on them all including Hawk , Elan13 and of course Tommys War ......

Didn't even realise Bonapartes wasn't there to be honest as the hall was busy most of the day for all .

See everyone next year

I want to echo the above. But a big thank you to Paul, Julie and all the BMSS team for pulling this show together. My 3rd year there and its great to see the show going from strength to strength. The show is visibly growing, and I'm delighted to hear visitor numbers are up and there is now a waiting list for traders - signs of a show on an upward trajectory!

Big thanks also to everyone that came along, too many to mention individually, but thanks to you all. It was great to see everyone.

Well done to Edward for winning the WW1 competition. Great result there. My commiserations to Dave who was a worthy 2nd with a really fantastic piece. I'm personally delighted that the items donated for the prizes have gone to such talented painters. I can't wait to see the results (no pressure there then lads!).

Great day, great company, great figures - it really doesn't get better than that :)
