As others have said John ....... the work on blue and red is beautifully handled.
A very 'period' face has been enhanced by the way you've painted it.

Skillful painting and fine groundwork! Could you discuss how you painted the face? Paints used, order of painting each facial element, shading, etc.?

Amazing work - very smooth and clean. I like the subtlety of the shading/highlighting - just he right amount of contrast (y)
