Some of you will have seen the bases I created for Tommy's War. I've been creating a series of trench sections - each showing different aspect of trench warefare. I'm finally getting figures in some of them. 3 have figures now and I have another 4 awaiting them. There are 9 altogether, so I'm still working on 2 bases.

This is my Ideal Trench

I've hesitated to show them before as this is a figure forum, but now that they are being populated with Tommy's War figures I feel able to.

Thanks guys.
Edward, I've contacted the Imperial War Museum twice and they have never replied. They have one of their old models still in the new display and that is in a plinth at ankle hieght - therefore nobody sees it! Models are not a priority of theirs these days.

These are superb - I can't wait to see all the other variations.
I'm sorry to hear that you got no reply from the IWM but having seen the new WW1 displays recently they're just not showing models like these anymore. Unfortunately the National Army Museum is going to go the same way after its renovation - several well loved models in there have gone into storage and I can't see them being taken out and shown again. Edward Surens Rorkes Drift diorama for example is one that I will miss.
I suggest picking one of your favourite regimental or local social history museums and asking them - I'm sure they will be much more appreciative of your hard work and generous offer and find a place where many can enjoy them.
Cheers
Mat

Thanks for the complements guys. For those who are interested, I've been blogging how I make them on the Military Modelling Forum http://www.militarymodelling.com/forums/postings.asp?th=80609
As I said there are 9 of them, so I have another 6 not shown here. I also have trench models in 1.285 scale. I'm a bit of a trench nerd!
