I'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post this in, or whether it should be in the sculpting section but here goes anyway.
I'm looking to make straps and buckles in 1/16th scale for WWII US Army backpacks and pouches, they are going to be hanging off the side of a Sherman tank turret.
The straps I can make, I usually use Euthymol toothpaste tubes cut into strips then covered with masking tape, it's a good technique and I like the look.
Buckles however are a bit more tricky to make convincingly, so I'm reaching out where ever I can with the hope that someone has the answer.
I've looked at Aber's products without joy, they do make a set of photoetch for German uniforms (which I already have), this does have some belts and other short straps but not enough and only a couple of belt buckles.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
All the best,
David
