Ron, thanks mate for the reference photo's, will come in useful. I have undercoated six of my Zulu's in various shades of brown and ochres in order to try and get different contrast and shades.(y)

Remember mate.....work dark cold colours into the creases.....thinking more of the shadow areas here....blue/magenta/viridian green.....
reason being that, one of the rules of colour 'deception' is that, if you put a dark colour next to a light one, the light one will appear lighter than it actually is.....
you can use this to avoid having to use too light a colour for the hi-lites, which will make your zulu skin tones appear too warm.....
