Hi guys,
I created this vignette inspired by the famous WW2 Normandy picture of an
“American paratrooper James Flanagan (2nd Platoon, C Co, 1-502nd PIR), among the first to make successful landings on the continent, holding a Nazi flag captured in a village assault. Marmion Farm at Ravenoville, Utah Beach, France. 6 June 1944.” Wikipedia.
My idea was to make the guy as exact as
possible to the real one, but coming out in 3D from the picture: so it is all painted in B&W.
Over a base of 1:32 multipose spare parts, I worked with putty all para uniform and the equipment details etc. For the helmet net I used a lady leg sock. I didnt have any head smiling face so I had to work it over to make him happy...The flag was made of aluminium metal.
I painted all with acrylic
I’ll appreciate and welcome all your comments
