Hi,
Everything was slow for me this summer. I started this excellent figure from Nuts Planet which in MHO is a painters figure. Many textures and the sculpting is super class.
Here are few photos and I'll keep you updated with my progress.
As always, your feedback is very much appreciated.
Cheers,
Zeno :)

Nice work Zeno my friend. The bronze looks wonderful and your groundwork as usual is top notch. (y) I hope you are coming to Chicago this year....

Steve

That is already looking great Zeno. Very nice colour choices.

Just wondering from the third picture: the figure Looks tilted to his back slightly too much...should it be tilted to his frint a little bit?

Cheers,
Adrian

Excellent start, Zeno. Love the colours choice, fine harmony between metals and textiles, interesting face tones. I'm curious too about your bronze. The helmet is already done?
Warm regards!
Nicolae

Thank you all for the great feedback! It's very much appreciated!

@Mat
Thanks Mat! :)
I used the new Acrylic Vallejo Metal Color, series 77 which is designed for airbrushing. It comes in 22ml plastic bottles and has a very, very fine pigment. So, I did an experiment with them. Never used them before but I was very pleased with the effect.
I used a 77.710 Copper & 77.725 Gold mixture in different proportion for different pieces of equipment. When it was dry, I weathered with oils. The highlights are with printers ink gold.

@Steve
Thanks my friend! :)
Glad that you like it. More to come.
Yes, this is the plan, to be at the MMSI Chicago show this year. Looking forward to see you again, as always!

@Adrian
Thanks a lot! :)
Yes, you are right. It is tilted a little bit. It stays on an improvised handle and I didn't paid to much attention. It doesn't matter in this stage to much. It will change when I'll add the cap and shield on his back and I'll put the figure on its base. I'm planning few things with base before I assemble the figure.

@Phil
Thanks a lot for your kind words! :)

@Glen
Thanks a lot my friend! :)
I'll do my best to finish this piece till then. Looking forward to see you at Sword & Brush Show in Toronto!

@Francesco
Much appreciated! :)

@Nicolae
Thanks a lot, my friend! :)
You have above the metals that I used. The helmet is almost done. Still I have to touch here and there, mostly highlights on the edges.

@Andrew
Thanks a lot! :)

@Paul
Thanks Paul! :)
You are very kind!

Cheers friends!
Zeno :)

Late to the party on this one as usual, but he looks awesome so far Zeno - really like the treatment of the brass components and the pelt is fantastic! Another stunner as usual!

See you soon,
Brian

Hi Zeno, Thanks for the info - I didn't know Vallejo Metal Colour came in Gold and Copper so that's interesting (I have two of the aluminium colours for airbrushing aircraft). Just got myself some printers inks too so will have a go following your method.
Cheers
Mat

@Joe
Thanks Joe! :)
I'm glad that you like it!

@Oda
Much appreciated! :)

@Mat
The 77 series from Vallejo is a new one for me. On top of the two paints already mentioned you may consider the next paints as well: 77.720 Gunmetal Grey; 77.721 Burnt Iron; 77.712 Steel and 77.723 Exhaust Manifold. 22ml bottles as well. Very fine pigment. Never used them before but if they behave like Copper and Gold it is a very good addition to the tons of paints that I have... :shifty::LOL:. You made a very good investment with the printers ink. Easy to use and the results are very good.

@oldtrousers
Thanks a lot! I'm glad that you like it.

Cheers,
Zeno :)
