A rare thing about Yury's works of wonder is that the MAN comes before the ERA. With facial expressions this appealing, the concerned period / subject is only secondary in significance, and rightly so.

Figure modelling can meet different needs of different people. To revisit / honour history. To convey a universal emotion. To test one's knowledge of shapes and colours. Yury's is a graceful mix with slightly more weight on the second need, the way it appears.

This is art. I really like the marked features of the face. The flap cut in the bottom of the breast, simulating the outline of the drawing is awesome. The XVI century knight is very elegant. I like both.
