Hi all,
I think I will call this one done. I have to put him on a pedestal but I think that's about it. I had posted WIP shots in another thread http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/celtic-chieftain-bust.62868/. Since then I added some texture and fabric effect on his cape and tunic.
Thanks for looking
Ben

You did well to resurrect this guy from your 'shelf of doom', because he's turned out brilliant Ben.
I love the look you achieved on his metal armour. I think you told me, but how did you get that effect again?
Love his wooly cape too. Great work, mate!

Thanks guys, glad you like him all finished.
Nick, the metallics were base coated in a Vallejo Dark brown mix, drybrushed with Vallejo Metallics ranging from Oily Steel to Old Gold to Bronze, with a oil wash of blacks and browns in between each drybrush coat. At the end I just highlighted some areas with Old Gold Vallejo. Kept doing this till I was happy.
Ben
