That's the best painted version of this figure I have ever seen; it's a wonderful paint job and lovely muted colours . Given he has blood on his arms, groin area and shield and (then) as if surprised or ambushed draws his gladius, maybe he killed some barbarians earlier and this is 'Round 2' ?

Fully agree with all the other comments. Great stuff! Surprising that this is a figure that's not seen all that often, given the quality of the sculpt and the lovely animation involved. This was one of the first figures I painted after getting back into the hobby. Wouldn't mind having another crack at it now .... but there are so many great figures about and only a finite amount of time!
