Coming along very nicely. I prefer the shako in oilskin but it's purely personal choice.

From records, they fought with shako covers, so I'm not sure which to use.

Its been a while for an update,back problem means less bench time but thats getting better.
So far, jacket has been finished and the buff leather is at the undercoat stage. The brown bess has been started but again a lot to do.
I have mounted the bust on a Oakwood studios plinth and used a freebe medal(repro).
The badge on the Knapsack is a paper print from a picture found on the internet. I can't paint that sort of thing for toffee. (I did supply the ink, will that count).

This was the medal struck by the royal mint in bronze, cost me £1.50 postage so I knew it would come in handy
