Hello,

I'm starting with the amazing vignette Charge of the Light Brigade. It despicts the 17th Lancers, is sculpted by Carl Reid and produced by RDG Miniatures.
The scale is 75 mm.
There are a lot of things to do, to add all details on the horses and figures. You can see it on the photos. When I have finished the paintingwork I'll add the reins and swords.

Hope you like it.

Ben

this morning while prevaravo an exhibition on ww1 to which my club participates with 40 models I was talking about this set ... I feel like putting my hand to my wallet

I'm thinking should I, or shouldn't I...………..This piece is too nice and complex not to......Which reins did they use snaffle, curb, both? I'm currently working on CGS 120mm mounted Cuirassire and this issue drove me crazy. So much so that I have a file just on that subject. Whew....Talk about rivet counting. I almost signed up for horse riding school...…………….Sorry Ben.

yes Wayne, it is very complicated. Horse painting take a lot of time. I make the reins from lead foil.

See you next year when it's done. Good luck with it mate.
If I was you, I'd do one, then do a side project and come back to it. The problem with such a large project is maintaining focus and enthusiasm.
Is this something you've thought about?

Hi Ben, I just received this one last week and have been starring at it ever since. It is a truly massive project and complicated as well. I hope that I can rise to the challenge and I will be following your progress closely. Hopefully I will make it a spring/summer project. I do think that Blind Pew has the right idea on tackling this project. I'm going to take his advice when I start.
