COstas

Paulo, hope you get some use from the software and also, have some fun with it of course.

Hi Costas, many thanks for stopping by and taking a look. I will try to get some more of the steps and pictures here soon.

Thanks again...Roy.

Here's another 2 pictures that show some of the work on the bearskin.
Worn loosely, and with the chin straps now un-fastened for comfort, I've tried to show it with the fur covering much of the front plate.
The basic shape was made with Super Sculpey firm over a rough former of Magic Sculp for support.

Below you can see the fur texture applied and smoothed. The cords, for the most part were plaited wire. The remainder, including the tassels and knots were sculpted with Magic Sculp.

All the best...Roy

Here is a closer picture showing the work on the front of the figure at this stage. The lace is complete on the jacket front and also the collar.
Chinscale details have been added, also hair and sideburns. From this view you can also see the cords tied up to keep them out of the way.

I'll try to add a few more pictures later detailling the work on the sabretache and scabbard etc.

Thanks for taking a look.

Roy.

This pic shows the basic assembly for the sabretache.
It's made from a little copper sheet and wire, soldered to form the basis on which I can sculpt the remainder of the details.
I have a couple of more images of the next stages to post later.

The next 2 images show the work on the rear of the figure when it was almost complete.

Thanks again for taking the time to look.

I think that you are making a great work. Napoleonics is not my everyday cup of tea, but i think this one looks really nice, and has all the detail and a nice pose that i would i like in order to decide to paint a miniature. I will follow this one , and probably i will get and paint it

Congratulations

Many thanks George and Costas...The piece is finished and I eagerly await a kit version.

I hope you get one Costas, and if Napoleonics is not your usual era of interest (like me, as this is the first piece from this era I have attempted to sculpt) you may find, as I did, that it adds an extra element of enjoyment while adding to your collection.

Many thanks once again to everyone for taking a look.

Roy.
