A Fixture
I'm currently (Ok I'm working on a lot but this one happens to be in the center of my table ) working on this figure from Pegaso. An absoutely BEAUTIFUL figure as are nearly all of Victor Konov's figures! I was looking at this one the other day (even had some friends do the same) and the figure's right arm struck me as a little odd. Look at the position his arm is in while holding the lance. Nothing is supporting the lance at the bottom. Wouldn't this item get heavy in a VERY short time? I looked through my references ( L. Rousselot plate #47, 65, 75. Also his book on "Napoleon's Elite Cavalry". Europa Militar Special # 12 and a couple other lesser books.) and I can't find any kind of support at the bottom of the lance to bear the weight so the riders arm would not have to. Am I missing something? Should there be some sort of holder for the lance here? Please point me in the right direction.
By the way, the pictures are not of my work, , but off the Pegaso site
