Just in time for Christmas, here's my version of the 1/35 D-Day Miniatures Xmas Truce vignette. All painted in acrylics

This scene depicts a match between the 2nd Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders and a Saxon regiment, which the Germans allegedly won 3-2 (no change there then).

There's no contemporary evidence that this match actually took place but there were many documented kickabouts during the truces, so for me this represents the spirit of that truce. A poignant reminder of what many of our relatives went through.

Thanks very much guys, I'm glad you like this one. It turned out pretty well, the small scale was a bit of a struggle but overall it tells the story well.

Hi Nigel

Good to see the completed piece , nice effective groundwork showing just a slight snowfall , liking the painting of the figures

A nice Vignette telling a famous story

Thanks Kev! Although the sculpting of the figures isn't the greatest, the animation is really good and they tell the story well. And they were a gift from Paul S (DaddyO) so I had to do them!

That is excellent work Nigel!
Really liking your paintjob and the subtle snow effect. Sometimes model snow can be ‘goo-ey’(?) or too overpoweringly white. What you did is perfect and looks suitably cold.
How did you create the snow?
