I found a very interesting book at Hobby Lobby today tittled:

COLOR MIXING RECIPES FOR PORTRAITS by William F. Powell
more than 500 color c0mbinations for eyes, lips, and hair
isbn-13:978-1-56010-990-7
isbn-10:1-56010-990-4

It has a spiral binding so it will lay flat on your work station and gives recipes
for the highlights, midtones, and shadows for different races.

and it was 9.95 USA

I got mine of the Hobby Lobby clearance table for about five bucks. The best part is the mixing page in the back of the book. It is clear plastic and allows you to squeeze out the proper proportions for each mixture. When done you can just wipe it clean and use for another mixture.

This is actually one of the better books of its type and modestly priced too, so it's a good buy. William F. Powell authored a couple of other titles too if you want to keep an eye out for them.

Just bear in mind that the swatches are just representations, so don't be put off if your mix isn't exactly the same as what's shown. Even if we could make printing much more accurate individual paint mixtures will vary because of differences in paint from brand to brand.
