Hi planeteers,
let me present you my latest painting. I started this a few weeks back and this is where I am now. The sculpt is fantastic and besides it I also admired the painting of Danilo Cartacci from the Pegaso boxart and that´s why I try hard to be satisfiend with my version. So thank you for watching and any comments are welcome;)

WOW! what a fantastic start Robert, the skine tones are beautiful, very smooth and subtle, looking foward to following the progress on this one
Cheers
Tommi

Indeed great flesh tones :) I'm also (as an oil painter) to hear about your mix.

Beautiful skin tones Robert. I saw this posted over on Med-Rom and loved the blue's you have done too.

Hi! Robert.
The skin tone is very wonderful.
It seems to build into a very beautiful work.
I'm looking forward to completion of your work very much.

Hi friends, thank you all for kind words and encouragement.
Requested flesh tone mix:

medium: Mars Orange+Naples Yellow
shadow1: Ultramarine Pink+Naples Yellow
shadow2: is shadow1+Burnt Umber
highlight: medium+more Naples Yellow
highest highlight: pure Naples Yellow

I tone down a day after with a touch of Ultramarine Pink when too much light. As I am not a speed painter, I work in areas, so at the I make corrections here and there to achieve the same intensity in all parts.

HI Robert,

Beautiful work! and thanks for the information on the flesh mix-as a point of interest what do you use as the acrylic base for the flesh as obviously this has an effect on the subsequent oils.
Keith

Thanks Keith,
first I airbrush the figure with white synthetic Humbrol matt white, this is a best base for next, this time acrylic basecoat. under flesh colour I´ve used Vallejo Flat flesh (very thinned with water and I brush it on surface in 2 thinn layers).
