Having run out of usable brushes I am now putting together all the bits and bobs that's been lying around so here is a little idea, dont like using quality horses unmounted but this could be an exception .

There is also a picture here of something I dug oot the gerdan ,dont know whether to smoke it ,eat it or pound it down and use it for a Covid repellent

Nice! Especially like the Pelisse which looks to be totally remodelled or scratchbuilt, impressive; would love some tips on that.

Hi Ron

That's some very nice looking putty work ..any chance of a closer look of the pelise

As for the vegetation ......try both options ...result ..lol

Happy benchtime

Sorry to say but the Pelisse is just on the stock figure , maybe showing up a bit more as it has primmer on it . There is a PF member "Paul" who does remodelling of the Pelisse and am sure has posted his method on here.
To be Honest I think the quality of the engraving on such items re Metal Models cannot be bettered ,they just require a system of painting .

My approach is to paint over the braiding in a much darker tint of the base garment colour then when dry go over in the facing colour using a dry brushing technique rather than trying to pick out individual parts .
If the facings are in gold IE for officers I use the same approach but then go over the raised detail with raw umber then apply the dry brushing with gold powder while the umber is still wet but give it plenty of time for the oils to evaporate before the gold application .

the pelisse is just bog standard , Typical of Brunos expertise , sometimes its frightening the amount of detail he gets on these little gems .
At times I think I should always by two , one to paint and one to assemble an polish , Will try and give you a larger picture
