The plates that your reference were painted at the turn of the 19th century and were painted in water colors. I assume the plates have faded over time.

I chose to go with the Dark Prussian Blue facings, as that was an actual uniform color shipped illustrated by the uniform plate that I posted.

I’ve seen evidence of the pale blue facing as as well and that was a different unit. That may well be a uniform scheme that I’ll paint in the future. May with the Elite version of this figure.
 
Update: I finished up the stockings and breeches. Off to the boots and cartridge box next. They are base coated in this picture. The ground work is about done, I have a couple other touches I’ll be doing once the figure is affixed to the base.

I feel like I’ll need to go back to the facings and cuffs, I’m just not getting the color intensity I want. More painting!

Then I’ll be off to the saber, rifle and hands. Then the weathering process will begin.
