I got a bit behind on this thread, so just catching up. More incredible detail and painting work. One day it will be finished, then what will you do......;):)

Regarding weathering, IMO you need to go a bit darker to show grubbiness on the trousers. I was looking at Danilo Cartacci's book last night and he has a great example of weathering a white tropical uniform. If you have that' it's a great reference. He uses thin washes to build up the grubby look.

Thanks Nigel. I do have that book so I'll take a look. Regards Pete

Morning everyone. Hope your projects are all moving forward well! A bit more progress on this little fella has been achieved over the Christmas break. I've started on the groundwork as well. I'm sure my methods are a little odd to some of you but it's only now that I feel I can see how the finished figure will look. Only half a leg, some bits on the Bess and half the groundwork to do! Any feedback welcome, as always. Regards Pete.

My feedback is that this is looking even more awesome, lovely work. This will be well worth the wait to see it completed.

Epic, you are right that your method seem some what odd to me but hey you can't argue with results like this. It's always best to do things the way you are comfortable with, hungry for more!

Cheers Simon

Thanks for the kind words Simon. You have no idea how much I want to get this little bugger done and in the cabinet! I've been doing a few crime prevention visits at churches for work recently and been inspired to probably go a bit medieval for the next project. Regards Pete
