Today I have the floor at certain points brushed again with "Ponal"-Glue and these parts then quite thin scattered with yet slightly lighter earth (from a different part of the garden)...:

With my "soil" I am very satisfied!

Next week is planting time ...

Next step:

Today I have "planted" the base - but I have carefully tried to avoid the appearance of "English lawn".

I used three different products of "Mini Nature" and glued them alternately, giving the impression of an almost closed degree surface, but differend colors and the length of the stalks and their structure... :

The front half of the base I leave unplanted because there I have something else in mind.

Tomorrow more.

Oops?

Why someone has thrown a precious Persian carpet in the dirt?

But seriously:

When I painted the arms of dancing Cossack, it was clear to me that gun, rifle and saber should not so simple lie on the ground.

At first I thought to make a blanket or something of FIMO. But I didn't liked that and so I hit upon the idea of instead to take a dollhouse carpet.

Since there are a number provider, I decided for a copy of "Menta Modelbau" (No. 10205.) ...:

http://www.menta-modellbau.de/shop24/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=Teppich&x=1&y=7

This thing is indeed woven with polyester!

The thus generated "contrast" between "raw nature" and "fine woven fabric" on my base I find very exciting!

The carpet was attached very proper style with carpet tape ...:

Very cool Martin!
Are you going to let the carpet hang over the base or trim it back to match the base? I don't think you can go wrong either way.
Let's see the dancer on there next
