The next step will be the sash. I think I will paint it red, but in a tone, that comes close to the colors of the embroideries...

Today a minor setback ...:

I have the front of the sash painted with these colors ...:

And what I see now I do not like ...:

I think, I have done two mistakes:

First, the base color was chosen too bright and secondly, I have lightened with white. The result is now somewhere between pink and violet, where it should come out dark red there!


No, that comes down again. Morning.

Yes - it would be correct, but I want a dark red one...

Just paint a deep red on top.
I know it sucks to have to re-paint something.

For what it's worth, I like the crimson colour Martin.
But if you want red.....you have to make it red!

What if you highlight with a mix of cad red with a touch of cad orange.

Old paint washed down (with turpentine substitute), new paint on it. I think that now goes in the right direction ...:







Now is still a few lights...

I have just the folds of the sash still a little refined. I'm quite happy with it.

Finally - I finished with the front part of the sash!

For brightening my red tone for the lights I worked gaanz careful with the addition of orange ...:



Now it looks like that...:







However, I must again today photograph with artificial light, which the whole Red moves a bit to yellow - in reality it is much more dark red...

With the red done the white shirt looks much better... more defined.
