.... and are the stars at night big and bright......On a different note, it's pretty cold in Texas tonight.
Random fact, I know, and not related to the thread. But I figured some levity here might help, pretty much anything to get us back to sculpting, painting, priming, whatever it is that we like to do. Just saying.
Well it is just a hobby - build what ever you want (but please - just keep it to yourself)Looks like they had lots of fun, but behind this is the grim reality that not long after or before the picture was taken 5 of the regiment were executed by their comrades officially for petty theft, but in fact more as an example it seems

Yes, quite a few indeed; fe. some titles by Alexander McKee amongst others. Many military titles in German by publisher Motorbuch Verlag from Stuttgart which have the mentioning "übersetzung aus dem Englischen von Rainer Buschmann" are in fact translated by Peiper.Peiper in later life translated 'Austerlitz' by Christopher Duffy and many other military titles
FloydieI was expecting the title to read "Pieper at the gates of dawn"

Btw re. Peiper's own words that he wore an "Italian flying overall over the normal panzer uniform" in the Ardennes : a 1/35 resin figure by Japanese manufacturor View attachment 113889 Yosci depicting him at Kharkov in a grey overall comes to mind.
If I am not mistaken, an "Italian flying overall" would probably be brown in color, not gray. Just my two cents.....
Finally somebody got itFloydie
